On the outskirts of Ensenada you can visit two important national parks gifted with incredible natural scenery.
National Park Constitution of 1857. It is located 72 miles east of Ensenada on the federal road no. 3, thence following a path of dirt road. Throughout its 5,000 ha. find pine and oak forest with several trails for activities such as mountain biking and hiking.
Parque Nacional Sierra de San Pedro Martir. It is located 236 kilometers southwest of Ensenada on Highway No. Transpeninsular. 1, following later by secondary road from San Telmo de Abajo. This place protects the National Astronomical Observatory, from which there is a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez. Within its 63.000 ha. await adequate space to practice many adventure activities like rappelling in the "Pico del Diablo, hiking and horseback riding.
